Yahoo & ebay VS Google

Yahoo and ebay are joining forces against Google. The two Internet giants are forming a service that includes: online search, online advertisement, Internet payments and a toolbar. Yahoo and ebay said they will form those services later this year. Over the last month the wall street journal reported that ebay, which runs the biggest online auction site, are having discussions with microsoft and yahoo in order to decide which of the two is a decent partner to the fight against Google.

Google is way ahead on the areas of search and related advertisements. The cooperation with ebay allows us to increase the exposure of the funded links that appear beside the search results and the graphical advertisements to one of the largets internet communities, said Teri semel, Yahoo's CEO. Meg wittman, ebay's CEO said that she hopes that the cooperation with yahoo will increase their exposure to their assets which will increase their value to their customers.
